AL-UQAYER HOUSING is a residential development project located in Hofuf, Saudi Arabia. This thoughtfully planned community combines contemporary architectural design with traditional influences to create a comfortable and culturally appropriate living environment for residents.
The project features a variety of housing typologies arranged in neighborhood clusters, with shared amenities and public spaces that foster community interaction and enhance quality of life. The landscape design plays a crucial role in creating a sense of place and identity for the development, with shaded courtyards, pedestrian pathways, and neighborhood parks that provide opportunities for recreation and social gathering.
As an Urban Designer on this project, Khaled Elnezily contributed to creating a comprehensive landscape plan that addresses the unique challenges of the desert climate while providing attractive and functional outdoor spaces for residents. The design incorporates sustainable strategies for water conservation, shade provision, and microclimate creation, reflecting a commitment to environmental responsibility and resident comfort.
