ASMARAT YOUTH CLUB is a community-focused recreational facility located in Cairo, Egypt. This comprehensive sports and leisure complex was designed to provide essential recreational opportunities for the residents of the Asmarat neighborhood, with a particular emphasis on youth development and community building.
The project features a diverse range of sports facilities including football fields, basketball courts, swimming pools, and multipurpose activity spaces, all integrated within a cohesive landscape design. The outdoor spaces are thoughtfully planned to accommodate both active recreation and passive enjoyment, with shaded seating areas, walking paths, and gathering spaces that encourage social interaction and community engagement.
As a landscape architect on this project, Khaled Elnezily focused on creating an inclusive and accessible environment that serves the diverse needs of the community while addressing the challenges of the urban context. The design incorporates sustainable elements such as water-efficient plantings, permeable surfaces, and strategic shade structures to create comfortable microclimates throughout the complex.
